Why study Biology?
Biology is the study of the living world. Biologists try and understand how all organisms function from the largest sea mammal to humans to the smallest micro-organism. This can include their internal working to how they came to be here and their interactions with the environment. This knowledge can be used to advance medicine, improve public health or preserve and protect the natural world.
What does the course involve?
Where will Biology lead me post Sixth Form?
A highly regarded ‘facilitator’ A level, Biology will help those who are interested in pursuing a career within a STEM related industry and is particularly important for those interested in healthcare, medicine, sport and jobs involving animals.
