Key Stage Four
All students complete GCSEs in English, Maths and Science. They are also required to take a Humanities subject (History, Geography or Religious Studies) and a Modern Foreign Language course (in either French or Spanish). Beyond these core subjects, students can choose two additional subjects.
Our GCSE Preferences Program opens for our Year 9 students from the spring term. We provide an information evening and incorporate parents' evening into the decision-making process. Uniquely, we also run a 'straw poll' which takes early preferences of our students to help establish the final option blocks to ensure that as many students as possible are able to study their first choice subjects.
