Uniform

Students are required to wear our school uniform, please see the 'Uniform at STFS' document at the bottom of this page.

Our uniform consists of :

Compulsory

• A school blazer with the logo
• A school tie
  • Tie length - ties must be at the top button of shirts, and at least five stripes should be visible (you do not need to see the whole of the fifth stripe)
• White buttoned shirt (designed to take a tie) that is tucked into trousers/ skirt
• Tailored charcoal grey (not black) trousers or skirt
  • School skirts - must exceed the length of hanging arms (to avoid uncertainty or scrutiny). Please also ensure that these are tailored skirts as per the above - not of a stretchy fabric and not pencil skirts
• Plain black or grey socks under the trousers
• Plain black or blue socks, or plain black tights, with skirt
• Socks should not be ‘fluffy’.
• Black polishable school shoes with a black/ grey sole. (not trainers*) See diagram below for acceptable styles:

  

   

Optional

• A cotton v-neck jumper that is navy/ black with or without the school logo (not a sweatshirt)
• A polo shirt with or without the school logo (only in the second half of the summer term)
  • For the polo shirts in the Summer, this applies only once Mr.Murphy has conveyed this to parents and not automatically at the start of the second half of the summer term.

Sports

• School rugby shirt (boys)
• School PE polo shirt
• Plain navy blue PE shorts or STFS tracksuit bottoms (boys)
• A navy blue PE skort or STFS leggings (girls)
• School PE socks/ plain navy blue long socks or white sports socks
• Non marking trainers (any colour - not high tops) for inside sports
• Moulds, boots or Astro boots for outdoor PE (see graphic below)
• Mouthguard for rugby
• Shinpads

Sports Optional

• School rain coat or plain blue/ black waterproof jacket
• STFS fleece
• School track pants
• Unbranded thermal base-layer to be worn under other PE kit/
• In winter, students may wear a hat and gloves while outside.
• In summer, students may wear a sunhat

Any PE kit that is not STFS branded should be plain and free of logos/ brands.

I you are unsure about any item then please ask your PE teacher.

* Students who arrive to school in trainers without a medical reason for doing so will be required to use the school's 'swap shop', trading their trainers for black plimsolls for the day.

Equipment

Students should always be properly prepared for school. They should have with them the correct books, pens, pencils and ruler in a pencil case, as well as the appropriate kit for physical activities. Students should ensure that they have an appropriate size bag for their belongings. A small purse or handbag is not appropriate.
