Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is additional funding paid to schools in England by the government, to decrease the attainment gap for disadvantaged children. The grant can be spent at the school’s discretion so that the individual needs of the students can be met.

Pupil Premium Eligibility Criteria

Students in receipt of free school meals.
Students who have claimed free school meals in the last six years.
Students who are in local authority care.
Students who have previously been in local authority care.
Students who have a parent currently serving in the armed forces or in receipt of a service pension.

Our Pupil Premium Strategy Statement is updated annually during the Autumn Term. It details Sir Thomas Fremantle School’s use of pupil premium funding to help improve the attainment of our disadvantaged pupils. It outlines our pupil premium strategy, how we intend to spend the funding in this academic year and the outcomes for disadvantaged pupils last academic year.
