Friday 11th October - Focus on Wellbeing

Exciting times ahead as we look to develop a wellbeing space for the STFS community.

We are passionate about providing a high level of pastoral care to our pupils,
including support with their emotional and well-being needs. Individuals are often seen on
a one to one basis by school staff or visitors from outside agencies, such as the counselling
service or CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services). To be most effective this
requires a degree of privacy as well as an environment conducive to comfort and feeling at
ease. Currently this is very difficult to provide in a full, busy school environment and
therefore we have plans underway to build a dedicated separate room, within the grounds
of the school, to provide such a facility similar to the one pictured.

As such, we will be introducing some fundraising activities to try and encourage support for our project. On Friday we will be having a non-school uniform day where, if students choose to participate, they will donate £2 to our cause. There will also be a bake sale to allow staff and students to buy treats with all the money going towards the project.
